Alligator

“Submerged Presence”
This trio of sculptures transforms into a single, lurking form—an alligator partially submerged, its body revealed in fragments across the surface. The tail curves with quiet menace on the left, segmented like ripples in motion. At center, the raised scutes of its back break the waterline, circular and symmetrical, like a warning disguised as stillness. And on the right, the head emerges—eyes alert, nostrils flared, jawline carved with restrained power.

Together, these pieces evoke the tension of what lies beneath. The alligator isn’t charging—it’s waiting. Watching. Present but not fully seen. The black surface beneath them becomes water, reflection, mystery.

This isn’t just a creature—it’s a sculptural mood. A meditation on patience, stealth, and the unseen forces that shape our surroundings.
